Well, the 2014 season wrapped up tonight as the sun went down behind the mountains. It was a fantastic season for me in some ways and a disheartening one in others. I had a few subtle reminders that life goes on no matter what happens around the world. I also got a firsthand reminder that Father Time is undefeated. As we age things that were once easy become more difficult and things we never thought of before begin staring us in the face. I hope everyone had a successful season. Some seasons are better than others and the one qualifies as one of them for me. It was simply unforgettable. If you would like to view some of my experiences from this season feel free to visit my YouTube channel where I’ve posted some videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNXSrOlYYz4R0e-UBgC9Opw
The traffic has definitely decreased on the website this year, which makes me wonder if I should keep it going for the coming year. It is a fairly large expense and I need to sit down and justify the reasons for keeping it up and running. The Facebook page seems to be quite active in some respects although many people still don’t feel comfortable sharing their photos. Please know that you can share photos and remain anonymous. This has gained popularity over the last year and I don’t blame people for wanting to do this as I got a good look at what lengths people will go to in order to hunt places you’re hunting when they see photos you got.
Please feel free to send me any feedback you might have. I’d love to hear from you. Please encourage friends and relatives to send in photos so we can build the site to become a place where people come to view the deer of the Adirondacks. Thanks again for your support.
