This cold weather doesn’t want to let go. I spent the day in the north country with my buddy Brian Pino a couple of weeks ago. It didn’t take us long to find out the deer had moved to another area for the winter. While there were still random tracks throughout the woods there was nowhere near the amount of sign there was the last weekend of the season. I guess it doesn’t take them long to get out of the country once the snow starts getting deep and the temperatures begin to plummet.
I’d like to thank everyone who has visited the site and contributed to it. Without your participation there’s not much sense in having the site. I’d like to see more people find their way here and send their pictures in so we can all enjoy looking at some awesome deer from the Adirondacks. I appreciate all of the book orders, too. I hope you’ve enjoyed the books and they leave you wanting to read another one.
I will not be doing the show in Vermont this year. I was up in the air about it for a long time, but I chose to try something different this year and tackle a new market. I will be at the New York Sportman’s Expo in Syracuse the weekend of January 25-26. I’ll have my display set up in the NYSOWA booth, which will be next to the Lake Ontario Outdoors and The Adirondack Outdoors Magazine booth. If you’re at the show make sure you stop and introduce yourself. Keep spreading the word and encourage other people to send photos.
